October: Keith Vernell is Employee of the Month

A self-described "people person" is our newest Employee of the Month. Keith Vernell is the Employee of the Month for October 2013. He currently works as a Garage Attendant at the Municipal Garage, located near the corner of Clark and Tucker. 

Keith began working for the city in February 2009 and in this position, he helps maintain the city vehicles. This includes washing, wax, fueling and maintenance. These vehicles are delivered to the Comptroller's office as requested. In addition, he helps maintain the garage and the office facilities. 

He says the best part of his job is "...seeing and greeting city workers and the general public..." He also enjoys helping others by providing them with directions and other vital information. 

Outside of his job with our office, he loves sports and other outdoor activities. Great job, Keith--keep up the excellent work!
