April: Mary Hemme is Employee of the Month

The Comptroller's Office is pleased to announce that Mary Hemme is April's Employee of the Month.

Mary works as an Accountant II in the Financial Reporting Section. She's been with the City for nine months, beginning in her current position last August.

In her role, Mary works to assist with the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual report for the City. She also reconciles various bank accounts, prepares journal entries for various programs and does work on the cash flow report.

Mary says the best part of her job is "...my coworkers and the work environment they create."

When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her two teenagers. They keep her busy, doing things like going to the movies or just hanging out at home playing Xbox. Mary also enjoys reading and working out with the other city employees in the Bee Fit program!
