2011 Yes I Can Banquet

Comptroller Darlene Green will serve as a co-chair of the 37th Annual Yes I Can Banquet hosted by the Metro Sentinel Journal Newspaper on Nov. 27.  Co-chairing the event with Green will be Lewis Reed, President of the Board of Aldermen, and City Treasurer Larry Williams.

This year's banquet will focus entirely on education.  The guest speaker will be Dr. Kelvin Adams, Superintendent of the St. Louis Public Schools.  City License Collector Mike McMillan will be presented with the Publisher's Award for his efforts that have benefited thousands of inner-city youth.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Polish Heritage Center, 1413 N. 20th Street.  For more information about the banquet, call (314) 531-2101.
