Marty Brooks Joins the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission

Will manage the America's Center convention complex

 The St. Louis Convention Convention & Visitors Commission (CVC) announced earlier this week that Marty Brooks has been hired as its new Senior VP/General Manager of America's Center.

Brooks will be responsible for managing the 502,000 square-foot America's Center® convention complex, which also includes the 67,000-seat Edward Jones Dome, 1,400-seat Ferrara Theatre and the Executive Conference Center.    

Prior to joining the CVC, Brooks served as the Executive Vice President/General Manager for the Scottrade Center and Peabody Opera House in St. Louis. He also worked 10 years as Senior VP/General Manager for Madison Square Garden-Connecticut which ran the Hartford Civic Center, Rentschler Field (a 40,000-seat football stadium) and the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League owned by the National Hockey League's New York Rangers. 

"Marty brings to our organization a wealth of knowledge and experience managing facilities and events. We are very excited to have him join the team," says Kathleen "Kitty" Ratcliffe, President of the St. Louis CVC.

Brooks will begin his duties on December 10, 2012.

The St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission is the official destination marketing organization for St. Louis City and St. Louis County. The CVC also manages and operates the America's Center® convention complex and Edward Jones Dome.
