Conditional Use Hearings
Information about conditional use hearings including appeals, meetings, agendas.
There are a number of uses that present unique problems with respect to their location and relationship with potential surrounding land uses. These uses are not allowed in a particular zoning district by right. However, they may be made compatible as appropriate by attaching certain conditions to their development. This is accomplished through the conditional use hearing process.
The Zoning Section conducts conditional use hearings and makes recommendations to the Board of Public Service after hearing all testimony. The Board of Public Service issues the final decisions on conditional use permits.
Conditional Use hearings take place on Thursdays at 8:30 am at the following address:

Hearings dates or meetings are subject to change. These changes are published on this website, in the City Journal, on the physical site, and posted in the Office of the Building Commissioner.
