Notice: Because of the Global Pandemic declared on March 11, 2020, and subsequent Federal, State and Local Public Health Orders, for the protection of the public and in keeping with CDC guidelines, meetings will be restricted to no more than 10 persons maintaining a distance of 6 feet apart. Many meetings will be held via video/teleconference in lieu of in-person meetings. Please review the meeting notice closely for instructions on where/how to join the meeting.
Admission: Charge. $10 per person, children under 12 are free
Landmarks St. Louis Walking Tours: History, Culture, Architecture and Exercise: What could be better on a Saturday morning? Explore the fascinating history, culture and architectural legacy of St. Louis from the city's founding through its current development. Our walking tours start at 10 am rain or shine, April 1 to October 31. Take the East Tour or West Tour any Saturday; Grand Center Arts District Tour is held the second Saturday of each month. We also offer special group tours that can be scheduled on any day of the week. Tours end between noon and 12:30 pm and cover between two and three miles at a leisurely pace. Tours are open to individuals or groups of up to nine people. Tickets are $10 and are available on our website, LandmarksTours-STL.org (children under 12 are free). EAST TOUR: Explore the architectural legacy of the heart of the city. From the bustling Riverfront of the French-American entrepreneurs through the historic financial and retail district and the skyscrapers of the 20th century, you'll find famous architectural and engineering marvels, including these highlights: Old Courthouse | Old Cathedral | Eads Bridge | Gateway Arch | Old Post Office | Wainwright Building WEST TOUR: St. Louis' grandest public buildings are a testament to the city's ambitions during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Explore their history, architectural significance and how they changed the area from blighted to monumental, including these highlights: Union Station | Stifel Theatre | Central Library | City Hall | Campbell House | Soldiers Memorial GRAND CENTER ARTS DISTRICT: St. Louis’ arts epicenter is home to an eclectic mix of architecture both grand and artistic.
