Notice: Because of the Global Pandemic declared on March 11, 2020, and subsequent Federal, State and Local Public Health Orders, for the protection of the public and in keeping with CDC guidelines, meetings will be restricted to no more than 10 persons maintaining a distance of 6 feet apart. To slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus the Board of Aldermen are holding regular meetings by electronic Webinar. Each meeting will have an electronic link and phone number that can be used to view and/or listen to a meeting. Each meeting will also have a Meeting ID Number that can be used if requested while you are accessing the meeting.

Board Bill Number 146
Introduced by Alderwoman Heather Navarro, Alderwoman Christine Ingrassia
The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Ordinance 70892 regarding small wireless facilities to prohibit installation of such facilities within segments of the right-of-way adjacent to the frontage of a parcel in the single-family “A” zoning district. It only makes changes to the such ordinance, as codified, in Sections 23.59.040.A.1 and 23.59.040.A.2.
Board Bill Number 147

The proposed Board Bill would permanently close, barricade or otherwise impede the flow of traffic on Vernon Avenue by blocking said traffic flow at the west curb line of North Kingshighway Boulevard at the intersection of the Vernon Avenue and North Kingshighway Boulevard.

The proposed bill will extend the prohibition on commercial vehicle in Ordinance 71111 which prohibits such traffic along West Park Avenue from the eastern boundary of Hampton Avenue to the eastern boundary of Hughes Place, to include commercial vehicle traffic along Hughes Place between the northern boundary of Dale Avenue and the northern boundary of West Park Avenue.

The proposed bill would establish a maximum posted speed limit of twenty (20) miles per hour for all traffic travelling upon sections of roadways in areas zoned A Single Family Residential District, B Two Family Residential Dwelling District, C Multiple Family Residential Dwelling District, D Multiple Family Residential Dwelling District, and E Multiple Family Dwelling District that are within the area defined in Section One of the bill as the 3rd Ward Residential Speed Limit District.

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public alley. 20 foot wide east/west alley in City Block 6472 beginning at 20th Street and extending westwardly 220.54 ± 16.49 feet to its terminus and bounded by Olive on the north, 20th on the east and Pine on the south The Petitioner is TKFC LC. The vacated area will be used to consolidate property for construction of soccer stadium.
