A trio of native St. Louisans return when pianist Matt Villinger, vibraphonist Peter Schlamb, and drummer Zach Morrow debut the All Night Trio on the Jazz St. Louis stage. No strangers to the Bistro, all three band members came up through Jazz St. Louis’ JazzU program as members of the Jazz St. Louis All-Stars. The trio’s compositions are heavily influenced by different types of groove music including Herbie Hancock, Thundercat, Drake, and Frank LoCrasto.
