Due to the COVID-19 virus the Board of Aldermen is holding regular meetings by electronic Webinar. Each meeting will have an electronic link and phone number that can be used to view and/or listen to a meeting. Each meeting will also have a Meeting ID Number that can be used if requested while you are accessing the meeting.

Public Hearing 
The Committee will take Public Comment on any of the Board Bills and Resolutions listed below. Please see the below instructions on how to register to speak to the committee. 

Public Hearing Procedures:
Those interested in making a comment should send an email expressing their interest to speak as well as their name, street address, email contact address and the Board Bill and/or Resolution Number(s) they wish to speak about. This email should also indicate whether you are “for”, “against” or have “no position” on the Board Bill or Resolution. This email should be sent to the Board of Aldermen Clerk - Mr. Terry Kennedy at: kennedyt@stlouis-mo.gov.

Persons may also call 314 589-6845 and leave a message with the above information. Those who do not have an email address or wish to call into the meeting by phone to speak, should call the phone number above and express their interest to speak as well as leave their full name, phone number  and all the requested information above. 

Those responding by email will receive an email confirmation and then later a link that will allow them to join the meeting as a speaker. Procedures will also be sent to you. Those calling in will receive a return phone call with this information. 

All requests to speak must be made by 6am - July 8, 2021. Speakers will be called to speak in accordance to the Rules of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen which can be found on the Board of Aldermen Website.

Board Bill Number 57
Introduced by Alderman Jack Coatar

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public street. 9th Street from Cole Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in City Blocks 167 and 259. The Petitioner is St. Louis Municipal Finance Corporation. The vacated area will be used to consolidate property for expansion of the convention center.

Board Bill Number 65
Introduced by Alderman Jeffrey L Boyd

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public street. Semple Avenue from Ashland Avenue southwardly 372.995 ± .005 feet to a point. The Petitioner is Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. The vacated area will be used to consolidate property for a storm water detention basin.

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public unimproved alley. The remaining 169 feet of the 15 foot wide east/west alley in City Block 901 beginning at 19th Street and continuing westwardly to its terminus and bounded by Olive St., 19th St., Pine St. and 20th St. The Petitioner is Pitch314 LC. The vacated area will be used to consolidate properties to improve overall safety and security of abutting properties.

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public unimproved street. Irregular shaped portion of McKissock Ave. beginning approximately 830.5 feet southeast of Humboldt St. The Petitioner is Henkel US Operations Company. The vacated area will be used to correct property lines.

The overall purpose for this bill is to conditionally vacate the following public unimproved street. First Street from Angelica Street southwardly approximately 458.305 ± 5.635 feet to its terminus. The Petitioner is Hermann Oak Leather Company and others. The vacated area will be used to consolidate property and improve safety and security.

This Board Bill directs the Director of Streets to permanently close barricade or otherwise impede the flow of traffic at Lexington at the eastern curb line of Kingshighway Memorial Boulevard and containing an emergency clause.

This Board Bill repeals Ordinance Number 68455, authorizing the Director of Streets to open the permanently closed San Francisco Avenue 387 feet east of the eastern curb line of Kingshighway Memorial Boulevard and containing an emergency clause.
