Every Third Friday of the month the Delmar Maker District opens up for fun activities that celebrate local creativity. October is a month of birthdays for the Delmar Maker District. This month on Third Friday, Third Degree Glass Factory will celebrate its 19th birthday, MADE Makerspace will be turning 3 years old, and Craft Alliance will have been in the District for one whole year! We will commemorate this momentous month with a lineup of creative demonstrations, fun activities, community engagement, and food and drink in the Delmar Maker District.
Each organization is within walking distance with one another, so you can check in to all the DMD spaces for the full Third Friday experience. Doors open at 6pm. Here’s the rundown of events:
At Third Degree Glass Factory, 5200 Delmar, you can enjoy music by Boxcar, live glassblowing demonstrations in the hot shop, cocktails, and grab some grub from a variety of food trucks parked on Lake Ave, out front.
Check out MADE Makerspace, 5127 Delmar, for a waterjet demonstration, an indoor Maker Market, and an open-house style gathering. Across from MADE, in the brand-new turf amphitheater, there will be a special birthday surprise at 9pm.
Visit The The Magic House, MADE for Kids, 5127 Delmar (2nd floor), from 5 to 8pm for their Free Family Night.
Stop by Craft Alliance, 5080 Delmar, for some smores out front and discover creativity happening throughout their craft-focused space!
Check out and RSVP to the Facebook Event for more details and updates.
