Description
The City of St. Louis Department of Human Services and its partners are activating emergency shelters starting Thursday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m., and continuing through Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 9 a.m., in accordance with Code Blue protocols.
Additionally, in anticipation of snow on Saturday, the Street Department will begin pre-treating snow routes on Friday morning.
Currently, 345 emergency shelter beds are available. This is in addition to 400 year-round shelter beds.
The City and its partners have been able to serve all individuals and families who sought shelter since Code Blue was first activated on Nov. 26 and will continue to monitor use to determine if additional shelter beds are required. Shelters are currently expected to operate 24 hours a day until Tuesday morning, unless conditions change.
See the news article for shelter and transportation options.
