After honing his craft on electric blues guitar and earning his stripes backing veteran bluesmen, Ivas evolved into a versatile singer-songwriter known for his warm, baritone vocals, masterful guitar playing, and engaging stage presence. Formed in the early 2000s, the Ivas John Band has played thousands upon thousands of shows across the midwest and beyond. Known for a repertoire that blends electric blues with early jazz, swing, country blues, and slide guitar influences, the band has become a consistent presence in regional clubs, festivals, and music circuits across the region with their ever popular standing gigs.
