Re-Envisioning the Workhouse Recommendations
Summary
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis recognizes the work of the Close the Workhouse Campaign, the steering committee, the policy and process recommendations, the ongoing commitment of the Jones administration, and the advocacy of those impacted by the Workhouse facility. The Board of Aldermen supports the adoption of the recommendations of the Re-envisioning the Workhouse report, funding the Resource Memorial Hub, and to amend and redress harm done to the those who were incarcerated at the Workhouse, and will continue to work with the Jones Administration to bring those recommendations to fruition.
