The Community Development Administration (CDA) and Land Reutilization Authority (LRA) of the City of St. Louis (“City”) are seeking redevelopment proposals for property owned by LRA and under CDA option. The property is located at 5900 West Florissant Avenue in the Walnut Park West Neighborhood of the City of St. Louis (“Site”). The City will sell the Site “as is.” Funding from CDA will not be available for the redevelopment of the property through this Request For Proposal.
Parcel Facts:
•The Site consists of one (1) irregular-sized parcel, 5900 W Florissant Avenue, totaling approximately 6,384 square feet of site area with a 221 linear-foot perimeter.
•The building is vacant with a ground floor area of approximately 5,896 square feet.
•The Site is located in the Walnut Park West neighborhood of St. Louis City. The building is a one-story, brick office building.
•The Site is located at the intersections of W. Florissant Avenue and Riverview Boulevard.
Site location:
The Property’s location at the intersection of West Florissant Avenue and Missouri Route-367 serves as a strong point of accessibility for a relatively broad region. Bellefontaine Neighbors, Normandy, Northwoods, Pine Lawn, and various sections of the northern half of the City of St. Louis are within a 5-minute drive. Florissant, Ferguson, Overland, University City, Richmond Heights, and downtown Saint Louis are all within a 10-minute drive. Within a fifteen-minute drive, as far north as West Alton is accessible, Bridgeton and Maryland Heights to the west, Webster Groves and East Saint Louis along the southern edge, and Granite City and Mitchell, Illinois to the east.
