January 2015: Regina Reynolds is Employee of the Month

Regina Reynolds is our Employee of the Month (EOM) for January, 2015. She works as an Accountant II in City Hall, Room 311. 

Regina began working in the Comptroller's Office in August, 2009. She serves as the accountant for the Department of Personnel, Building Division, Board of Public Service/Facilities Management, Special Business Districts, St. Louis Public Library, the Circuit Courts as well as the Police Department after local control. As acting liaison between departments and other city agencies, contractors, and vendors regarding fiscal and account data information, appropriations, and encumbering funds, it's her responsibility to review and approve departmental expenses and perform the necessary maintenance for their accounts departmental budgets. The job requires knowledge of City policies, procedures and regulations in order to assist, inform and advise city agencies and departments of the necessary requirements regarding such policies, procedures and regulations. Her job also entails performing critical analysis, interpreting fiscal and account data as well as making informed decisions independently to correct variances and discrepancies of fiscal and financial account information.  

She says the best part about what she does is "interacting with the external and internal customers. I love being able to resolve issues and enjoy the day-to-day challenges in which this job entails."  

When she's not working, Regina loves to sing and cook. She also serves as Youth Director at her church. One day, she hopes to have her own business working with the elderly and disadvantaged youth. It's no wonder that Regina made Employee of the Month for January, 2015 with her "can do" attitude. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
