June 2015: Katie Bock is Employee of the Month

She's been with us about a year, and now Katie Bock has been named our June 2015 Employee of the Month! Katie is a Payroll Specialist II, who began working here in August 2014.  

Katie works in the Payroll Department in Room 210, City Hall. Her responsibilities include daily payroll processing functions: data entries for payroll exceptions, payroll report distribution, assisting with garnishment processes, resolving discrepancies and providing support and guidance for the city's payroll clerks.  

Katie says the best part of her job is "The people I work with. Having a strong, supportive and positive team to work with makes everyday rewarding." 

Outside of work, Katie says she aspires to become the best version of herself that she can be, which inspires her love for learning. She says, "If I could, I would spend all of my time outdoors." Some of her hobbies include making stained glass art pieces, photography and other crafts.   

Since Katie is kind of new, she invites other employees to stop by and say hello. "If we have not yet met, please feel free to stop by the payroll office; I really enjoy sharing life stories and just talking!" With such a friendly spirit, it's no wonder Katie is our Employee of the Month. Congratulations and keep up the excellent work!
