Nancy Kistler

Deputy City Counselor

Nancy Kistler received her law degree from Washington University. She has practiced law in both the public and private sectors, primarily in the area of civil defense litigation. She has defended lawsuits involving allegations of personal injury, medical malpractice, employment discrimination and civil rights violations. Since 2006, she has held the position of Deputy City Counselor for Litigation for the City of St. Louis. In that role, Ms. Kistler oversees the litigation involving the City of St. Louis, its departments and agencies. In addition, she oversees the Litigation Section, the Police Section, and the Workers' Compensation Section. Ms. Kistler has tried approximately sixty cases to conclusion before juries, as well as numerous equitable matters in both the federal and state courts.
