AARP Tax-Aide Program for Seniors

This service provides tax assistance during tax season at no charge to seniors residing in the City of St. Louis and persons working downtown St. Louis.

Overview

The AARP and the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging (SLAAA), Department of Human Services each year partner to provide tax assistance, at no charge, to elderly residents of the City of St. Louis.

AARP Volunteers are only in the office 2 days a week please call in advance to schedule an appointment.  

Preparation

Determine Eligibility

Applicants should be:

  1. 65 and older, or
  2. a person 18-64 who receives SSI, SSD, or Veterans Disability
  3. a person working downtown St. Louis
  4.  AARP volunteers assist all individuals, regardless of income, age, or ability status.

  1. Request to schedule an appointment to have your tax forms completed at no charge.
