About Open Streets

The City of St. Louis is proud to announce its third year of Open Streets events. This year's events, scheduled 9AM - 1PM on Saturday June 30th and September 29th, will wind through the Holly Hills,South Hampton, and Southwest Garden neighborhoods. Both Open Streets events will feature several miles of City roads that will be closed to automobiles but open to pedestrians and cyclists. Open Streets is a special opportunity to be active and social while exploring the hidden gems of our unique City neighborhoods.

Open Streets events will offer diverse activities, live music, and exciting events. Open Streets are two days of the year when City streets are open for people to enjoy and explore – and it's a unique opportunity for St. Louisans to experience the City by foot or bicycle. We encourage participants of all ages to enjoy Open Streets – be active, meet new friends and neighbors, and celebrate the season. Participation in Open Streets is free and open to the public.

At the end of our June 30th event in Holly Hills, we encourage all of our Open Streets revelers to join our marching band as we parade to the Macklind Days festival taking place from 11am-8pm just blocks from our route. We'll be decorating bikes and bodies throughout the day at Activity Hub One and then preparing for blast-off at 12:15! Please join us at Macklind Days and help support the local community and businesses that keep St. Louis moving.
