Programs available through Playtime Recreation
Playtime offers FREE summer camps for children ages 7-15 teaching a variety of recreational interests. Camp topics include art, basketball, brain boost, cheerleading, circus arts, cooking, engineering, fishing, football, game design, golf, hip hop arts, karate, machine makers and machine lab (engineering), pickleball, photography, poetry, robotics, soccer, swimming, tennis, tree climbing and geocaching, theater, track, youth poetry slam and some brand new topics we think kids will enjoy.
Registration for Summer 2019 opens April 1, 2019.
As camp schedules begin to take shape in March, parents can view the tentative schedule by clicking Register for Summer Camp. This schedule is still subject to change but will be final by April 1.

Playtime Recreation will host a day camp at the Cherokee Recreation Center located at 3200 S. Jefferson. For more information or to sign up call 314.664.0582 or drop by the Cherokee Center.
Cherokee Day Camp is open for youth ages 6-12. Breakfast and lunch will be provided every day. In addition, each week this summer will uncover a new theme featuring special guests, performances, field trips, activities and other surprises for youth. Registration begins on April 1, 2019.
To compliment day camp 12 youth will be choosen to participate in a teen summit for youth ages 13-15. The teen summit consistd of service to others, life skills, community engagement and youth mentoring. Teens can apply at the Cherokee Center starting on April 1, 2019.
2019 Summer Camp starts June 3 (school snow schedule pending) and runs through August 9.
Don't forget to mark your calendar for our Back to School Bash that will be held at the Cherokee Center at the conclusion of summer camp. Date 2019 is TBA. This will include free haircuts/styles, food, school supplies, activites and medical screenings. This event is free to the public on a first come first serve basis.
