Program Descriptions:

1520 Market Body Toning (11:45am-12:30pm): Sculpt, tone and strengthen the entire body in this class.

Carnahan Yoga (12-12:45pm): Classes will incorporate traditional yoga poses and moves for a full body workout.

Water Kingshighway Yoga (11:30am-12:30pm): Classes will incorporate traditional yoga poses and moves for a full body workout.

BP Clinics (Blood Pressure Clinics): A BJC registered nurse visits worksites to confidentially track employee blood pressure measurements and provide on-site education for avoiding or managing at-risk blood pressure levels.

Vein Screenings: A venous screening will be offered by Washington University Vein center for City of St. Louis employees. The extent of venous disease can be easily characterized and treated based on symptoms, physical exam and ultrasound findings. The brief screening performed will identify employees who have chronic venous disease, but will not constitute a complete evaluation, nor be sufficient to plan treatment. Call 314-362-7331 to schedule your 10 minute screening.

Strength Training Basics: Participants will learn weight training exercises that can be completed in the City Fitness Center using

dumbbells, resistance bands and the Hoist cable weight machine.

Fueling for Exercise: Did you know eating protein post workout may decrease muscle soreness? This class will help participants

understand what foods are good for pre or post workout fueling and hydration.

American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout: This could be day one in your smoke free journey that will lead to a healthier lifestyle and reducing your cancer risk. Bee-Fit will be distributing suckers, sugar-free gum and smoking cessation resources at worksites.  For information on the Great American Smokeout and more smoking cessation resources, click here. https://www.cancer.org/healthy/stay-away-from-tobacco/great-american-smokeout.html
