The Recruitment and Examination Section implements recruitment strategies, administers examinations, establishes eligible lists, and contracts for temporary services.

The Recruitment and Examination Section is responsible for administering a multifaceted program that carries out various staffing functions for all departments and agencies within the City of St. Louis merit system.  

This includes:

  • implementing various recruitment strategies; 
  • developing and administering examination procedures;
  • establishing eligible lists; 
  • contracting for temporary services.
