Who We Are

The Employee Training and Organizational Development Section is responsible for designing, creating, and implementing training and organizational development efforts to further the mission of the City of St. Louis. This section offers a wide variety of training and development opportunities to City employees designed to properly orientate each employee to their position and employment with the City; instruct each employee to perform their duties properly; and encourage each employee to upgrade their skills and abilities so they can adjust to change in the workplace. 

This section also includes the Occupational Safety component which is established to promote safe and efficient performance of City operations and provide for the protection of the employees, citizens, and visitors of the City. This section is responsible for assisting in the control of workers' compensation claim expenses.

Courses. What is New?

The 2nd quarter 2014 Quarterly Training Calendar is now Online!  Now, all of the information on current course offerings, class descriptions, computer courses, and the Leadership Academy is provided in an electronic format. We hope you will find the information more user-friendly and easy to access. We will make periodic updates to the format , as well as add course offerings, as needed, to the current calendar. We also hope this will make us more responsive to the needs of operating departments, and give us flexibility to address issues that may arise outside of usual timelines.
