Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position assign and supervise professional and sub-professional engineering staff. Duties include overseeing budget preparation, construction project procedures and contract payments; reviewing plans and specifications and providing technical advice. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology; plus five years of progressively responsible professional civil engineering experience.
Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the Oral Interview. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver's license must present a "Driving Record Check" from their State's Department of Motor Vehicles.
Documentation of academic credentials and Professional Engineer registration must be submitted with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview.

The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
