Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the daily operations and maintenance of a coagulant house and filter plant in order to provide safe and potable water.

Five years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a surface water treatment facility. At least two years of this experience must include supervising the operation and maintenance of a surface water treatment facility. OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing the application and be able to present it at the time of the Oral Interview. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver's license must present a "Driving Record Check" from their State's Department of Motor Vehicles.
Certification: Must possess a Class A Water Supply Operator Certification issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Proof of Class A Certification must be presented at the time of the Oral Interview.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Include reasons for changes in employers and explain any gaps in employment on the application. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application.
VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
