Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for providing secretarial and clerical support requiring independent judgment, initiative and considerable knowledge of departmental operating policies and procedures.

Three years of recent secretarial experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be proficient in keyboarding and using word processing, spreadsheet, and database computer applications.

VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Written Test. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
Some positions may require candidates to pass a “Character Investigation” prior to appointment.
Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly.
A ten year character investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations for positions with the Airport Authority.
