Nature of Work

Incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising the Building Division Board-Up Crew. Duties include planning, supervising and participating in the re-securing of vacant and open buildings; assigning work to crew members and evaluating/counseling subordinates as needed; ordering/taking inventory of supplies; tracking and maintaining tools and equipment and performing routine vehicle maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience at a level equivalent to or higher than a Utility Worker with the Building Division Board-Up Program.

Certification: Must be RRP certified by the EPA while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess RRP certification at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the Oral Interview.

License:  Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess license at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the Oral Interview.  Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  State of Missouri Lead Abatement Supervisors License
