Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment within all City operated properties. Duties include: programming/configuring PBX equipment, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) equipment, voice mail systems, paging/public address systems, intercom T1 circuits, fiber optics and other related equipment.

An Associate’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field. OR two years of experience in the installation, removal, diagnosis and repair of telecommunications equipment. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the Oral Interview. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver's license must present a "Driving Record Check" from their State's Department of Motor Vehicles.
Documentation of academic credentials (if applicable) must be submitted at the time of the Oral interview.
