Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for coordinating and supervising public health programs and related personnel. Incumbents also promote programs and participate in public health education work.

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing, Community Health Education, Sociology or a related field; plus two years of professional public health experience which includes supervisory and/or managerial responsibilities. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the time of the Oral Interview. Please note type of license, number, class, and expiration date on the Employment Application. Applicants who do not possess a Missouri driver’s license will be required to present a “Driving Record Check” from their State’s Department of Motor Vehicles.
Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field. Previous experience working with the public health surveillance of communicable diseases and their clusters and outbreaks, particularly tuberculosis (TB). Previous grant management and reporting experience.
