Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position stock, order and distribute equipment, supplies, property and materials within a City department or division. Examples of duties include: data entry of all items into a computerized inventory system; receiving, storing and distributing supplies and property, purging items and maintaining accurate inventory balances.

One year of recent record keeping experience that includes some inventory control using a computerized inventory control system. OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
LICENSE: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of filing application and be able to present license at the time of the Oral Interview. Please note type of license, number, class, and expiration date on the Employment Application.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their experience and training as listed on the Employment Application. Please fully describe your qualifying inventory control experience. Complete the Employment History section of the application, even if you submit a resume. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application. Applicants must provide explanation for all changes in employment and any gaps in their employment history on the application. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered.
MEDICAL: Candidates will be required to pass a “Drug Screen” as part of the medical examination.
VETERAN’S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
