Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for supervising the daily internal mail service operations and staff for the City of St. Louis. Duties include serving as a liaison with the United States Postal Service to insure that all postal requirements are satisfied; maintaining records, allocating charges to appropriate department accounts and recommending the annual budget for mail room operations.

Six years of experience in the operation of a postal facility or mail service, including at least three years in an administrative/supervisory capacity. Experience must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of U.S.P.S. national and local policies, zip code and pre-sort regulations and a full range of automated mail room equipment. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
