Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive needs-based health promotion, prevention and educational plan for the Department of Health and directing internal and external community resources around specific targeted public health issues.

A Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Education, Public Health, or a related field; plus two years of experience in Public Health or Healthcare project management. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field. Certification as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Experience developing marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, publications, videos, television programming and web pages; presenting information to the media and public and developing volunteer programs to enhance health promotion and education.
