Transportation workers form Missouri and Illinois watch as the last span of the Stan Musial Veterans Bridge is lowered into place over the Mississippi River in St. Louis on July 26, 2013. The 30,000 pound piece of steel will join Missouri to Illinois as the completion of the bridge comes closer with an expected opening of early 2014.
