The Special Event Permit Application is required for all large public events in the City of St. Louis. 

Large public events require multiple permits and supporting materials. View the list of possible documents by event type. 

When all forms are filled out and ready for submission return to the Apply for a Special Event Permit Online Submission Form.

Fire Prevention and Hazardous Materials Permit Application
Application for permit to store hazardous materials on business premises.  Organizations that need a permit for a propane tank at their event must also submit the addendum page.

Special Event Application
The special event permit application is needed when an organization wants to hold an event in the City of St. Louis that requires multiple permits, involving multiple departments.

Catering Permit Application and Requirements
Allows licensees to provide off premise sell of beer and/or liquor for special events

Temporary Food Permit Application and Information
(Updated May 2021) Applications must be submitted a minimum of two (2) business days prior to the event, or are subject to a an additional $10 fee for an Expedited Temporary Application.

If you are planning an event in a City park, please contact the Parks Department directly at (314) 289-5300 to ensure that the date, time and location for your event is available.  Below are the applications and information you need to request to hold a special event in a City park.

Picnic Liquor License Application and Requirements
The picnic liquor license application is required when not for profit organization hold events and wish to serve alcoholic beverages at their special event. 

This applies to not for profit organizations only.

Catering organization are already licensed.

If you will be utilizing any part of a city street for your event, please complete the below application in addition to your Special Event Consolidated Application.  This includes use of city streets for festivals, fairs, parades, runs, bike rides, special parking, etc.

Water Wagon Application
Apply for the Water Wagon when your event requires one location with multiple fountains and a sink.

Drinking Fountain (Combo) Application
Apply for the single drinking fountain (combo) attached to a fire hydrant when your event requires water for guests throughout the event site where fire hydrants are located.

Required in order to obtain information on Water Division facilities for construction or development purposes

Mandatory Fire Safety Unit Food Truck and Trailer Registration and Inspection Documents and Forms
All food trucks and trailers that do business inside the geographical boundaries of the City of St. Louis must be registered with and inspected by the Fire Safety Unit on an annual basis.

The registration can be completed online by:

1) downloading and completing all forms below,

2) going to https://stlcitypermits.com/RequestFoodTruckPermit.aspx and complete the registration process.
