Summary
HOSCO SHIFT is a non-profit organization that collaborates with St. Louis University to provide individuals with training in agriculture and fostering entrepreneurship in culinary education.

Apprenticeship is twelve (12) weeks with open enrollment on a rotating schedule. Upon completion, apprentices will receive a Certificate of Sustainable Agriculture and Serve Safe Certification.

HOSCO’s EcoVillage is an agricultural training and progressive food cooperative/business incubator that initiates cooperatives owned and operated by the community. Apprentices will be trained in urban agriculture and farming, culinary, coop business development, concession and restaurant management, and more.

Program Benefits:

Training program runs 12-weeks
OJT available in Urban Farming, Culinary skills, Concession and Sorbet Maker and more
Upon completion of course graduates will receive a Certificate of Sustainable Agriculture and a Serve Safe Certification.

Requirements:

GED/High School Diploma
Age 18 years or older
Able to pass background check with finger printing and drug screening
WorkKeys Assessment: Reading-3, Math-3 and Locating Information-3
