SLATE Announces Seminar On Unemployment Claims

Expert from the state to explain employers how to handle unemployment claims

SLATE MISSOURI CAREER CENTER, a service provided by the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), announces a new educational seminar for businesses entitled How To Handle Unemployment Claims. The seminar is presented in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED), the Division of Workforce Development (DWD), and the St. Louis Area Missouri Employer Committee (MEC). The seminar is presented by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DOLIR).  

Unemployment Claims is a popular topic frequently requested by local Employers. The seminar will cover general Unemployment stipulations required by the State of Missouri from employers and will discuss the process of handling a claim from an unemployed worker. The attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session immediately following the presentation.

The seminar will take place on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, 8 a.m. – 10 a.m., at Holiday Inn Forest Park, 5915 Wilson Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110. Registration and breakfast start at 7:30 a.m.
