General Motors (GM) in Wentzville has again requested SLATE Missouri Career Center to assist them with referrals for future hiring. As of May 29, SLATE Missouri Career Center has started to refer potential candidates for a GM applicant pool. There is no minimum education or experience required to be entered into the pool. GM uses a random selection process in which they select referrals, who are then offered the opportunity to begin the application process.

All individuals interested in being entered into the applicant pool must visit a Missouri Career Center, such as SLATE, in person. Potential candidates will be required to register with SLATE, show proof of citizenship, take a brief assessment, and view an orientation video if they are not already registered with the Career Center system;the entire process generally takes between 30-45 minutes. SLATE Missouri Career Center is located at 1520 Market St., 3rd Floor, St. Louis, MO 63021. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the exception of opening at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.

To ensure accuracy and a full completion of each candidate's referral, SLATE Career Center staff advises all participants to arrive at the Center no later than 3:00 p.m. For information about visiting our Career Center, including parking suggestions, please click on Contact SLATE on the left side of our website, www.stlworks.com.

The last day for candidates to be referred to the GM applicant pool is Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
