National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) West
NGA recently announced the building of a new campus in North St. Louis that will bring hundreds of quality jobs to area residents. The Agency will need lots of intelligence professionals, office and IT personnel, logistics, security, construction workers and others to support the expansive facility. Cortex is a vibrant 200-acre technology district integrated into St. Louis' historic Central West End and Forest Park Southeast residential neighborhoods, surrounded by prestigious universities, advanced medical centers and abundant cultural and recreational facilities.

This much-anticipated retailer of modern and affordable home furnishings opened its store in St. Louis in the fall of 2015. IKEA's vision: to create a better everyday life for the many people. This exciting new location has also invigorated the neighborhood and resulted in 300 jobs for our community. SLATE assisted IKEA in hiring most of its local workforce and continues to prepare individuals interested in IKEA develop resumes and prepare for interviews.
It is anticipated that many jobs will be available across various departments, such as sales, logistics, customer service, food service, human resources, interior design, finance and operations, replenishment, and safety and security. Featuring restaurants, sports bars and other venues, Ballpark Village is the region's newest dining and entertainment destination, and is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis City next to Busch stadium. Now in its second year, the first phase of the development has been nearly completed;the expansion of this district continues and will include residential housing and business establishments.
