Executive Director is responsible for leading all aspects of creation and launch of the new TechSTL Consortium including

GENERAL SUMMARY
Executive Director is responsible for leading all aspects of creation and launch of the new TechSTL Consortium including:

Engaging and recruiting membership from entrepreneurial support organizations, civic agencies, corporations, academic & training organizations, and startup companies

Manage the delivery of Consortium initiatives through project partners, including:

Early-stage Entrepreneur Education & Wayfinding

Entrepreneurship Impact Data Report

Tech Workforce Supply & Demand Report

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Report

Develop the Consortium membership structure and long-term strategic plan, including sourcing and securing funding and/or value-added resources from Resource/Support and Economic Development organizations, Foundations, and Corporations for post-grant sustainability and Consortium services growth.

In conjunction with the SLDC Major Projects Manager, establishing and managing appropriate legal, tax, and financial structure and services for the Consortium

In conjunction with the SLDC Major Projects Manager, securing and managing website development services and marketing and social media support for the Consortium

Qualifications
Experience and Skills:

The TechSTL Executive Director will be a key ecosystem builder for the St. Louis region. Ecosystem builders are those who facilitate and catalyze that flow of talent, information, and resources by focusing their work on building a system of support and resources for entrepreneurs in their communities. A demonstration of past success in an innovation ecosystem builder role is strongly preferred.


Other preferred experience & skills include:

In-depth knowledge of startup/small business development and success factors

Strategic planning and implementation experience 

Fund raising (or selling services), including experience with grant writing, proposal development, creating and delivering formal presentations in group settings, and 1:1 meetings with potential funders.

Marketing expertise to oversee the creative process, planning and implementation of organization and program materials including digital components

Developing and delivering entrepreneur-focused programming

Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in a wide range of business, industry, and community roles.

P&L planning and budgeting responsibility

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
Requires the ability to lift and carry files/papers of up to ten pounds
Requires the ability to distinguish objects clearly in near vision for writing and computer work
