Leonard Johnson to Receive Outstanding Alumni Leader Under 40 Award

St. Louis, MO- In celebration of Homecoming Week 2018 Harris-Stowe State University, Leonard Johnson has been selected to receive the Outstanding Alumni Leader Under 40 Award. This award is being given to selected Harris-Stowe alumni under the age of 40, who have made outstanding achievements in their chosen fields of endeavor.

Johnson is currently the Director of Neighborhood Business Development at St. Louis Development Corporation. Johnson joined SLDC after spending the last 5 years in the position of Deputy Chief of Staff and Parking Programs Coordinator for the Treasurer’s Office in the City of St. Louis.

Johnson is a dedicated volunteer and is involved with a number of charitable organizations including the Urban League Young Professionals and Project: Youth Impact. Johnson stated, “I am honored by this prestigious award and would like to that Harris Stowe State University.”

Otis Williams, Executive Director stated “We are excited for Leonard. He is an important addition to our organization and we congratulate him on this honor.”

The program will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the beautiful Stifel Theater (formerly Peabody Opera House), 1400 Market Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63103. Tickets for the awards program will be available for $50 per guest at the Harris-Stowe Bursar’s Office, Room 008.
