The St. Louis Development Corporation will host its first Project Connect neighborhood planning event this Wednesday, December 15 at 6pm for the communities around the future campus of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) West in North St. Louis at Vashon High School, 3035 Cass Ave. This phase of Project Connect, announced earlier this year at the 2021 GEOINT Symposium, is designed to align City resources, partnerships, and development tools to harness the opportunity presented by the future $1.7 billion NGA West Campus and related projects.

“Equitable development relies on community-driven processes,” said SLDC Director of Strategic Growth & Development Lance Knuckles. “We encourage interested residents to join these planning sessions to inform what they want to see in their neighborhoods.”

Project Connect will help anchor NGA West to its six surrounding neighborhoods - Near North St. Louis: Hyde Park, St. Louis Place, Old North St. Louis, Columbus Square, Carr Square and JeffVanderLou - through a community-driven planning process designed to promote equitable development which meets residents’ needs. This planning process will help shape city policy, and guide growth and development for each neighborhood for the coming years.

The meeting will also have a virtual option on Zoom or by calling in at (312) 626 6799, ID 871 9626 4105. Residents and community members are invited to learn more about the process and to share with the Project Connect team how they would like to get involved.
