Property Maintenance Worker_

Performs regular maintenance on all SLDC property. Performs board-ups of vacant buildings.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision , works with the Property Maintenance crew to complete work assignments. Performs regular maintenance on all SLDC property. Performs board-ups of vacant buildings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operates and uses maintenance vehicles, equipment to ensure completion of crew work assignments.
Performs boards-ups of vacant buildings.
Removes trash and debris to clean vacant lots and buildings.
Performs tree removal and garden work, as necessary.
Performs other job-related duties assigned by Supervisor, Property Maintenance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. Two years or more of general property maintenance experience. Ability to operate all maintenance vehicles, equipment, and power tools. Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds. Ability to drive a standard shift truck and climb ladders required. Must possess a current Commercial Drivers License or be able to obtain one within 180 business days. Maintenance workers will be subject to the successful completion of random drug and alcohol screening in accordance with DOT regulations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Requires St. Louis City residency within 180 days of successful completion of 180 day probationary period.
Requires valid driver’s license.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Daily exposure to the elements.
Requires the ability to constantly lift 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Requires the ability to walk, sit, stoop, bend, and crouch.
