Nature of Work

Incumbent in this position is responsible for the daily operations of St. Louis Lambert International Airport's Business Diversity Development Department's Minority Business Enterprise and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification Unit.  Incumbent will serve as the point person for all Minority Business Enterprise and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) issues in the Airport Assistant Director of Community Programs' absence.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Fiscal Management, Airport Management, Community or Urban Development, Construction Management, or a closely related field;  plus three years of experience supervising or monitoring development projects at a corporation or a governmental or not for profit organization. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

License:  Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it at the Oral Interview.  Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. 

Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:  A Master's degree and previous project management experience with DBE and M/WBE programs is preferred.

A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for a commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly.  A ten year background investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations for positions at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

VETERANS PREFERENCE POINTS:  To be eligible for veterans preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview.  The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
