Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position plan and supervise housekeeping activities and personnel. This classification differs from Housekeeping Supervisor I because incumbents assist with planning the work of subordinates and in reviewing and recommending service improvements. Positions at St. Louis Lambert International Airport require shift, weekend and holiday assignments. Candidates must provide their availability for shift and weekend assignments on the Availability Section of the Employment Application. Shift differential of 1% is paid for evening, night and weekend shifts.

Five years of experience performing custodial tasks. Qualifying experience must include two years of experience supervising custodial staff.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
When completing the Employment History and Educational/Training History sections of the Employment Application, please be as detailed as possible when describing your custodial, cleaning, or housekeeping experience and training including equipment, tools, materials and methods used relating to this position. Your employment experience and training will be used to determine whether you meet the entrance requirements for this position and to compute your experience and training evaluation. Applicants will only receive credit for their experience and education shown on the Employment Application. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application. Applicants must provide explanation for all changes in employment and any gaps in their employment history. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will be not considered.
MEDICAL: Candidates will be required to pass a "Drug Screen" as part of their medical examination.
VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for a commuting allowance of $141.00 bi-weekly. A ten year character investigation will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations for positions with the Airport Authority.
