Incumbents in this position are responsible for coordinating, organizing and administering various programs and projects within the Finance and Development Section of the Comptroller’s Office under the guidance of the Deputy Comptroller for Finance and Development. In particular, this position will require the development of programs to facilitate and track the maintenance of insurance coverages for all city-owned structures, specifically including the tracking of fire insurance claims between the Building Division, Fire Department, and Comptroller’s Office; and managing projects that monitor and enforce compliance with lease agreements.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Political Science, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a closely related field; plus two years of experience administering department programs and projects; developing program policies, procedures, guidelines and/or financial controls. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess valid driver’s license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Previous project management experience which includes analyzing, monitoring and enforcing compliance with lease agreements.

CITY RESIDENTS PREFERENCE POINTS: City residents who pass an examination for a position in the classified service and do not receive any other preference will receive a five (5) point preference on a scale of 100 points on the exam. An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
