Position Specifications

This division manager position reports directly to the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry (PRF) & the incumbent is responsible for planning and managing the activities, programs and related facility services at the City of St. Louis' Recreation Centers.  Duties include: setting division policies, procedures, goals and tracking results; working in collaboration with PRF Divisions on facilities management of recreation centers, athletic fields, pools, etc.; manages and is responsible for fiscal oversight, which includes organizing, preparing and presenting the annual division budgets, overseeing all federal grant programs (food, snack, afterschool focused programming, etc.), as well as American Plan Rescue Act (ARPA) progams and the accompanying federal funding for each program/project.  

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or Sports Management, Leisure Services, Public Administration or a related field; plus four years of experience managing, supervising, or monitoring recreation programs. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

License:  Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis.  Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present license upon request.
