Verify Your My City Email Address

A verified email address is required to view things like service requests and permit applications

Overview

In order to look up things like CSB service requests and permit applications associated with your email address, we need to first verify that you own the address.

Preparation

If you aren't sure whether your email address needs to be verified, you can check your account profile:

  1. Log in to My City.
  2. Click on "Profile" in the menu.
  3. Find the "Sign In Information" section.
  4. If "Email is Verified" is set to "yes" then your email address is verified and no action is required.
  5. If "Email is Verified" is set to "no" then you need to verify your email address.

Instructions

Check Your Email

When you create a City account with an email address and password, a verification email is sent to your email account.

This email has a link that you can click to prove that you own the email address.

Click the Verify Link in the email to verify your address.

If You Don't See the Verification Email

If you don't see a City of St. Louis account verification email in your email inbox:

  1. Wait a few minutes and check again. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the email to arrive after signing up.
  2. Check your spam folder.

What to Expect

Once you have verified your email address, you should be sent to your My City account, and your email address will be verified.

This means that we will be able to show you your applications and service requests.

Additional Information

Troubleshooting

If you have waited for your verification email and it has not arrived in your email inbox or spam folder, you have two options:

Reset Your Password

You can prove you own the email address associated with your My City account by resetting your password. This will send an email to your account email address with a link you can use to reset your password, which also serves as verifying that you own the email address.

You can provide your original password in this process if you prefer not to actually change it.
