The Gate District
Gate District general boundaries are defined as Chouteau Ave. on the North, southward to S. Jefferson Ave. on the East, westward to Interstate Highway 44 (I-44) on the South, northward to S. Grand Blvd on the West to Chouteau Ave.
Parks in The Gate District
Buder Playground was named after Susan Rassieur Buder, a notable German immigrant who settled in St. Louis. A St. Louis City school, library and St. Louis County Park were also named in honor of Ms. Buder.
Eads Square Park
The park has a small entrance off St. Vincent and another one at Eads and California.
This Park was named in honor of Dr. Robert James Terry, a man well known nationally and locally for his contributions to medical literature. He was also one of the founders of the association which later became the St. Louis Audubon Society.
