ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY CELEBRATES ITS SECOND ANNUAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT: A MONTH OF CULINARY EVENTS @ YOUR LIBRARY

 

The St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce the schedule for its second annual Food for Thought: A Month of Culinary Events @ Your Library. Throughout March the Library will host food-related programs and events to satisfy everyone, including a Keynote Address by Rick Baylesscelebrity chef, author, and host of PBS's Mexico—One Plate at a Time.  Food for Thought was inspired by the Library's exceptional culinary collection, which was created in 1989.  All events are FREE and open to the public.

Restaurateur Andre Williams shares his recipe for success, complete with anecdotes from his personal experiences, and brings samples from his restaurant, You Gotta Eat Here!

A chef and registered dietician demonstrate how to cook healthy food and adopt a healthy lifestyle for those facing chronic illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, or diabetes.

FARMLAND.

The Library and the Monsanto Corporation present a screening of the award-winning film, FARMLAND.  Following the film, D. Milton Stokes, Director of Global Health and Nutrition Outreach, introduces Jim Tobin, Channel Engagement Lead, who moderates a panel of farmers talk about farming in today's economy and changing climates.
