ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY KICKS OFF THE 2016 SEASON OF
SUMMER READING CLUB AND PAGETURNERS 

Ready…set…read! The 2016 season of theSt. Louis Public Library's Summer Reading Club andPageturners kicks off tomorrow.

Summer Reading Clubs for kids and teens, and Pageturners for adults begins May 21 and runs through July 30.  Readers can sign up at any St. Louis Public Library Branch.

This year's theme is Worlds of Wonder, because the St. Louis Public Library has something for everyone: Picture books, novels, facts that astound—wherever your imagination can take you—your Library card is the key. Check out fantasy; science, both fictional and factual; romance; travel guides; manga; comics; art books; history and mystery.  Plus we have e-books, audiobooks, videos and music. And there's more: Arts! Crafts! Games! Contests! Prizes! Fun is only a book away at your neighborhood Library.

Club goals include:

Kids (Preschool –Grade 5)--Read 600 minutes to claim your prizes. That's just nine minutes a day! Books read aloud by a parent, friend or sibling count also.

Teens (Grades 6-12) – Read six books or read three books and attend three Library programs to earn prizes.

Adult -- Read six books or read three books and attend three Library programs to earn prizes.

Prizes include books, St. Louis Cardinals baseball tickets, passes to The Magic House or Missouri Botanical Garden and the surprise Grand Prize drawing!

Summer Reading Club is organized by the St. Louis Public Library and is sponsored by the St. Louis Public Library Foundation, St. Louis Cardinals and an LSTA Grant funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the State Library. The Magic House Education Fund provides Library programs and hosts Family Nights at The Magic House.
